PUMA x Mihara

PUMA x Mihara

27.10.2014 | PUMA

PUMA and Japanese fashion designer Mihara Yasuhiro began a rampant love affair in 2000, when Mihara first seduced us with his quirky, avant garde take on sneakers. The rest, as they say is history. This PUMA x Mihara romance is so strong it’s been compared to the likes of than Romeo and Juliet - without the tragedy.

Mihara Yasuhiro is a Japanese fashion designer, who has made a name for himself by pushing the boundaries of sport and fashion. He gets his kicks from Japanese art and sub-culture and predominantly from the fact that his work can make people happy. It made us pretty happy too.

The newest sneaker love-child draws inspiration from running and rock n’ roll. The technical aspects are preserved in the fabric and are contrasted with edgy details. Classic PUMA technology is combined with studs, wild animal prints and attention to detail such as guitar picks as zipper pullers. All of this is done in a punk palette. Who says rock n’ roll is dead?

The collection includes shoes, gear and bags, available from November. Come check them out at Select Saturdays at PUMA Select Jozi, 1st of November and First Thursdays at PUMA Select Cape Town on the 6th of November. Free beer, good vibes and hot shoes.
