Big Sean Collection

Big Sean has grown to super stardom levels over recent years and has worked hard to get to those levels, in the process he has never forgotten his humble beginnings, as we noticed in his launch for the new PUMA x Big Sean line, which draws inspiration from the streets of Detroit and the barber shop culture of the city.

Big Sean pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Suede (R2 499 & R2 699 Mid) seen in his footwear designs, as well as the classic T7 tracksuit (R2 299 top, R1 899 pants) with his first drop at Puma Select.
The new look Suede has a built in sock for comfort and support and a new lacing design.
The formstrip matches the uppers colours of the sneaker which gives a classic and simple design.
Big Sean’s signature is seen on the shoe as well as the old Dassler logo, the big ‘D’ also gives homeage to his home town of Detroit.
A blue, green and white panel is seen at the back of the sneaker as well as a green transparent sole is noticed, showing the attention to detail of the sneaker.

The black T7 styled tracksuit has been fine tuned to create a classic yet edgy appeal for the fans of the rapper, from the side paneling detail through to the embroided Big Sean logo on the arm of the track top.
The blue, green and white paneling is brought back into the tracksuit to give it a vibrant yet classic feel and break from the black main colour.

Check out the Tees (R699) Jacket (R2 299) Leadcats (R799) and PUMA x Big Sean Clydes (R2 599) at the store.

Overall I am impressed with the new drop as it shows Puma is flexible with their creative collaborators and ambassadors and allow them to submerge themselves into the fashion limelight and allows a new feel to classic Puma products.

Feel free to pop in at the Select store on the 31st March to see the 2nd drop of the Big Sean collection as well as see the barber inspired take of the launch.
